Katy B has argued that she should not receive special treatment for being a celebrity.

The 'Easy Please Me' singer claimed that she had never seen herself as different to the general public and would easily swap a VIP area for a crowded dancefloor.

"I think everyone is the same," she told The Mirror. "I don't think I'm more special than someone else because I sing a song.

"I remember being in the VIP section of a club looking down on the crowd and thinking everybody down there looks like they are having so much more fun. The DJs would all stay there and I'd be down with my homies on the dancefloor."

The 22-year-old also explained that her quest to be ordinary extended to her transportation choices and body image.

Opening up about her management's reluctance to let her use public transport, she said: "It's in case some idiot spits in your face or tries to kidnap you. But I still ride my bike around London. No-one will recognise me on my bike with my helmet on.

"I keep in shape jumping around on stage, but I'm not a super-trim girl. I have cellulite and stuff. I'm not that happy about it, but what can you do?"

Katy B today teased an "exciting" new collaboration with a mystery artist.
