The Captain America: The First Avenger star confessed that he is well-versed in dating etiquette thanks to his mother.
"Oh yeah, I'm a great date," Evans told MTV News. "Chivalry was a big thing in my household. If you didn't hold the door for a woman, my mother's going to knock your head in."
When asked which Avenger would win in a fight between his own Captain America and Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man, Evans was realistic about his character's abilities.
"Unfortunately, probably Iron Man," Evans said. "I've got to be honest. I'm being real."
The 30-year-old recently praised The Avengers director Joss Whedon, insisting that the Marvel Comics franchise is definitely in the right hands.
Last week, Evans admitted that he was not always as attractive as he is considered to be nowadays.
Captain America: The First Avenger opens in theaters on July 22 in the US and July 29 in the UK.
