Earlier this week, the Hot in Cleveland star received an invitation to the event from Sergeant Ray Lewis via YouTube.
However, White has released a statement explaining that she cannot attend the ball due to prior commitments to her TV Land television series, The Wrap reports.
"I am deeply flattered and truly appreciate the invitation. As everyone knows, I love a man in uniform," 89-year-old White wrote. "But unfortunately, I cannot accept, as I will be taping an episode of Hot In Cleveland. Love, Betty White."
White is not the only celebrity to be invited to the Marine Corps Ball. Mila Kunis was the first to be asked to the event, receiving an invite from Sergeant Scott Moore via YouTube. Then, Corporal Kelsey De Santis posted her own YouTube video inviting Justin Timberlake to the event.
Both Kunis and Timberlake have accepted their respective invites.
The Marine Corps Ball is scheduled for November 18 in Greenville, North Carolina.
