Angelina Jolie: 'My children ate crickets like Doritos'

Angelina Jolie has revealed that her sons love to eat crickets.

While shooting a Louis Vuitton ad in Cambodia, the Salt star opened up about her sons's favourite food.

Jolie told Extra: "My boys love to eat crickets. It's their favourite thing... When I first gave [crickets] to them... I wanted them to not be turned off by something that wasn't (part of) their culture. So I bought them... and they ate them like Doritos."

She continued: "They wouldn't stop and they brought to-go boxes home. And then I had to actually ban the cricket eating at a certain point because I was afraid they were going to get sick from eating too many... But they're good!"

It was rumoured last week that Jolie was engaged to be married to her longtime partner Brad Pitt, though sources close to the couple have since denied the reports.

Jolie topped a new list of Hollywood's highest-paid actresses which was released by Forbes magazine at the start of July.

She tied for first place with Sarah Jessica Parker, with reported earnings of $30 million (£18.7m) between May 2010 and May 2011.
