The 'California King Bed' singer told We Love Pop magazine that while she admires Lady GaGa's brave fashion choices, she prefers a more natural style for herself.
Rihanna said: "I don't think I could walk down the street wearing bubbles or a dress made of ham, [but] what Lady GaGa has done has been kind of amazing.
"I am the opposite. I wear clothes I would wear on the street. I'm all about a real look."
Rihanna recently surpassed Lady GaGa to become the most 'liked' female popstar on Facebook with over 40.56 million fans.
Rihanna was named the new face of Emporio Armani's jeans and underwear collection earlier this month.
She will launch her campaign adverts this fall.
We Love Pop magazine launches tomorrow.
