During a taping of The Green Room with Paul Provenza, the stand-up and reality star admitted that despite comedy's reputation as being a less glamorous aspect of showbiz, she still feels the pressure to look a particular way.
Griffin revealed: "There's just a lot of stuff - stars without makeup, she's looking haggard - and it does get to me. So I went to the dentist, that's my code, and I got a root canal and filling.
"I think most female comedians do it because at the core we still want to be funny and pretty. I do it because I want to be pretty and funny."
Asked what procedures she had undergone in the past, Griffin openly replied: "I'll take all your questions. I've had everything done except the t*ts. That's the tragedy about female comedians. We still want to be pretty and girls."
Griffin previously said that she regretted worrying so much about her appearance after nearly dying from complications after liposuction.
