The actor, who lends his iconic voice to Pixar sequel Cars 2, claimed to be impressed by Hanks's impressions of him on Saturday Night Live and the British comedians' attempts to perfect his accent on BBC series The Trip.
On Brydon and Coogan, he said: "Yeah, I think they're fantastic. They did [their impressions] way out of date because there was a chance in my voice from when I was very young to what I am now. Your voice gets older and gruffer with cigarettes and everything."

Caine continued: "The other one that was a surprise to me was on Saturday Night Live. They do great impressions of me and as good as them was Tom Hanks. He does an incredible impression of me and it's very funny."
The Batman star added that he still finds impressions of his voice "flattering" even after decades of parody, providing that he is not portrayed in a negative light.
"I get Christmas cards and birthday cards with my voice on it," he confessed. "People always impersonate me. I think it's very flattering, it never annoys me.
"It would annoy me if they did the impersonation and the guy was stupid, [like] Michael Caine was stupid. But they daren't do that cos I'd come looking for them."
Caine has hinted that The Dark Knight Rises may not be his final Batman film.
