Mel B: 'Sex of baby will be a nice surprise'

Mel B has said that she and husband Stephen Belafonte want the sex of their unborn baby to remain a surprise.

The former Spice Girl, who announced in March that the couple are expecting their third child, will give birth before the end of the summer, but admitted that she had done little to prepare for the child's arrival.

Mel B explained: "I'm really so behind with all that stuff. With my other two, I just waited until they were born and [then I] sense what works and what doesn't."

As for her decision not to find out whether she is having a boy or a girl, she added: "It's nice to have something left to surprise yourself. You get everything neutral - not too much stuff until the baby arrives."

Mel B previously said that she only wants to eat during her pregnancy and has no interest in working out.

She has also revealed that Belafonte will not be her birthing partner during labour as he cannot cope with the process.
