Jodi Gordon "really wants" to marry Braith Anasta

Jodi Gordon's friends have claimed that she is desperate for marriage.

The Australian actress, who is best known for playing Martha Mackenzie in Home and Away, recently moved into a new home in Clovelly with boyfriend of 20 months Braith Anasta and is believed to be hoping for an engagement.

One friend of Gordon told The Daily Telegraph: "She really wants to be married. She saw [ex-boyfriend] Ryan Stokes walk away when the going got tough, and she comes from a broken home and has a lot of stock in marriage - maybe too much for someone who hasn't been in a relationship for all that long."

Last month, Anasta and Gordon were rumoured to be engaged after she was spotted leaving a top Sydney jewellers. Her manager Sean Anderson has repeatedly denied the reports.

Gordon split from Channel Seven heir Stokes in 2009, shortly after she was involved in a drugs and gangster scandal.

After Gordon and Anasta first got together, she described the Roosters footballer as "beautiful". He has also said that he feels "lucky" to have her.
