The 'Party In The USA' singer has been asked to the celebration by PFC Hart, who posted a YouTube video of his request this week.
"An amazing tradition has just begun," he says. "Marines asking celebrities to the Marine Corps Ball. I would like to take a date, a proud American, Miley Cyrus, to the ball... Please Miley Cyrus, this one is for you."
Cyrus, who was recently reported to have rekindled her romance with The Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth, has yet to respond.
Friends with Benefits actress Mila Kunis was the first celebrity to be asked to the Marine Corps Ball earlier this month, shortly followed by her co-star Justin Timberlake. Both have said they will be attending if their schedules allow.
Betty White was then invited by Sergeant Ray Lewis, although she declined his offer because of prior work commitments.
Fast & The Furious star Paul Walker was the fourth famous face to be approached with an invite, but he has yet to reply to the YouTube offer from Sergeant Erin Fitzgerald.
