Christine Bleakley engagement ring designed by Frank Lampard

Christine Bleakley has revealed that fiancee Frank Lampard designed her engagement ring.

The Chelsea footballer popped the question to Bleakley last month with a £120,000 ring, which the Daybreak host said he had a hand in creating.

"He did well, didn't he?" Bleakley told the Sunday Mirror. "He designed it himself and made sure the diamond was set with a side profile to see how amazing it is.

"I couldn't have wished for a better ring. I'm getting it reset as it's slightly too big, but apart from that it's perfect."

Bleakley, who previously claimed to be "beyond shocked" by Lampard's proposal, added that she still has to remind herself of her new relationship status.

"I forget I'm engaged and then look down at my finger in shock," she joked. "It's surreal. I went out with Frank last week and this girl with a camera kept saying 'flash the ring' frantically. I felt like a right pillock doing it."

Bleakley and Lampard are tipped to get married before her 33rd birthday next February.
