Rebecca, Chris Judd welcome new baby boy

Rebecca and Chris Judd have become parents for the first time.

The 28-year-old Myer ambassador, who married 27-year-old Carlton footballer Chris in an Albert Park ceremony on New Year's Eve this year, gave birth to son Oscar Dylan at 11.05am at a private hospital in Melbourne this morning.

A statement released to the Herald Sun by the couple read: "Mother and baby are both healthy and doing well and father is over the moon."

Rebecca and Chris met in 2002 when he played for the West Coast Eagles. The couple became engaged in November 2009.

When they announced her pregnancy, Rebecca said: "[We are] super excited. It's been something we've always talked about and was going to be a priority for this year. But things happened a lot faster than expected and we got the shock of our lives when we found out we were expecting."

She later revealed that pregnancy had given her a new lease on life but that she found it difficult wearing heels to celebrity events, saying: "It's so much fun you just have to grin and bear it. You just have to suck it up."
