Chantelle Houghton: 'It's like Katie Price never existed'

Chantelle Houghton has said that she and her new partner Alex Reid do not talk about his ex-wife Katie Price.

Reid and Price wed in Las Vegas in 2010, less than four months after her divorce from Peter Andre was finalised. They split earlier this year and Price has since started a relationship with Argentinian model Leandro Penna.

Asked if she feels like she is filling Price's shoes since getting together with Reid, Houghton told Heat: "It's like she never existed. We don't talk about her."

She added of Reid: "He is sensitive, kind and thoughtful. He's a gentle giant, kind-hearted and lovely."

Houghton also praised her new boyfriend for not breaking up with her after being told that she needs IVF treatment within the next three years if she is to have a baby.

"He hasn't run away," she said. "That says a lot about him."

Houghton added: "I've only been with him a short while, so I knew that by telling him I ran the risk of him walking away.

"I said that I was really scared and that it was my problem, but he said, 'No Chantelle, it's not you, it's you and me, and I'm going to support you'. For him to say that is amazing."
