Pete Doherty in death "prank"

Washed-out rocker Pete Doherty sometimes tricks his friends into thinking he's dead to play a prank on them.

Doherty's tour manager, Sally, revealed that the Babyshambles frontman is so 'messed up' from the drugs that he enjoys playing the gruesome pranks.

She told the Sunday Times: "He sometimes pretends to overdose and lies there for 10 minutes, and then he laughs and thinks it is funny. It isn't."

Sally also revealed that the 27-year-old also takes advantage of his fans by making them clean up his squalid East London flat.

He has made one fan do his laundry while another was forced to sort out Doherty's road tax.
