Steps' Ian 'H' Watkins 'won't reveal father of baby'

Steps member Ian 'H' Watkins has revealed that he and his partner Craig Ryder will not reveal who the biological father of their baby is.

The couple appeared on This Morning to speak about their family plans, stating that they have chosen a surrogate mother for the child. However, Watkins added that they have no intention of saying which of them is the father.

"We have [decided who the dad will be], but we're actually not going to tell anybody," he said.

"Well, because, for example, if Craig was to father our child or children then I don't want my family or friends to treat that child any differently. Not saying that they would, but that's our reason really - just so everyone treats them equal."

Watkins added that his family are also very excited about their first child together, saying: "We've got friends and family that have kids and we have a fantastic network around us and they just can't wait. It'll be my mum's first grandchild so she is beside herself!"

Ryder added: "We've had everyone giving us massive positive support and all are so chuffed for us."

Steps have announced plans for a special reunion documentary on Sky Living later this year.
