Manu Feildel has revealed that he "hates" being a sex symbol.

The Australian celebrity chef, who won this year's Dancing with the Stars and is now starring in new food and dating show Dinner Date, said that he still feels like a "normal guy" despite his pin-up status.

Feildel told National Features: "I hate that term [sex symbol]. I'm a normal guy who happens to be on TV. I'm not any different than many others, but just have a French accent. It depends what you find sexy, I guess."

He also revealed that he had "lots of fun" during the making of Dinner Date, but insisted that he didn't want to get romantically involved with any of the female contestants as he doesn't believe in mixing "business with pleasure".

Feildel went public with his relationship with Clarissa Weerasena just after he won Dancing with the Stars recently. She said that she was "very proud" of him for taking part in the reality TV show.

Dinner Date first aired at 9.30pm last night and averaged 1.112 million viewers. It returns on August 9 on Channel Seven.
