JLS Aston Merrygold: 'Leona Lewis is too tall for me'

JLS star Aston Merrygold has joked that Leona Lewis is too tall for him.

Comedian Alan Carr suggested Lewis as a possible girlfriend for the single members of JLS during an interview for More magazine.

Merrygold quipped: "She's too tall for me.

"Remember that Yellow Pages advert, where a little boy stands on a pile of books to kiss a girl? That's my life, Alan."

When Carr suggested the newly-single Jennifer Lopez as a possible girlfriend, Merrygold responded: "Boom! Yeah."

His bandmate Jonathan 'JB' Gill agreed: "She's looking so good right now."

Merrygold recently claimed that he would be happy to go on Paddy McGuinness's ITV1 game show Take Me Out to find a date.

Lewis has previously said that JLS are "really representing" and tipped her fellow former X Factor contestants to do well in America.
