Ryan Giggs 'danced with belly dancer in New York bar'

Ryan Giggs reportedly danced with a belly dancer on a bar table while partying in New York with Manchester United teammates.

The footballer was celebrating after the latest match on the club's US tour. According to The Sun, Giggs was joined by players including Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney at the city's Lavo club.

"The belly dancers came out and the players were mesmerised," a source told the paper. "Ryan Giggs got up and was dancing with one on a table.

"The guys were laughing. Some were wearing flapper headbands taken from the girls, masks and gangster hats. They all left at around 1am."

An onlooker commented: "They were in a celebratory mood. They ordered champagne, vodka, Scotch and mingled with a group of models. They stayed until 4am, when they all got back on the team bus without the girls."

A spokesperson for Manchester United said: "It was a day off, and some of the players planned to meet up at Lavo. Everybody was dancing on tables."

Dismissing a claim that some of the girls had joined players on their bus, the spokesperson added: "None of the players invited girls on the bus. Two who got on were friends of the backroom staff - one was with her husband."

Giggs was previously identified as the player who had obtained a super-injunction to hide an alleged affair with Big Brother model Imogen Thomas. He was later accused of having an eight-year relationship with his brother Rhodri's wife Natasha.
