Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo 'wrote own wedding vows'

Vanessa Minnillo has revealed that she and Nick Lachey decided to write their own wedding vows to make their ceremony more "personal".

The pair, who tied the knot earlier this month, devised their own vows so that their special day was more "meaningful".

Speaking on Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding, Minnillo said: "We decided to write our own wedding vows for the ceremony because it makes it more personal and more meaningful when the words you're saying to each other come from your heart."

The new Wipeout co-host explained that it was important for her to say her own words during the wedding because she knew nobody else would ever say the same vows again.

"It's something really special knowing that these vows that I write to him and that he writes to me will never be said by anybody else because these are my words from my heart and my soul that I'm giving to him and him to me," she added.

The wedding will be televised on Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding, which premieres July 30 from 9-11pm ET/PT.
