The LA Ink star was scheduled to give an interview on the Los Angeles morning show yesterday, but walked off the set when the show used a clip featuring Jesse James to introduce her. Von D recently called off her engagement to James and was apparently angered by the painful reminder.
Von D took to Facebook last night to fully explain the incident, admitting that she may not be strong enough to do the press for her TLC series in the wake of her split from James.
"Although my intentions were never to offend or hurt anyone's feelings, this isn't an apology for walking out on a silly morning show interview this morning - and this isn't an attempt at justifying anything either," she said. "I don't expect people to understand, just like I can't expect myself to be able to please everyone at all times."
Von D continued: "The new season of LA Ink starts [on Thursday] and I admit I'm not strong enough to do all the press I committed to doing for the show. Today was a perfect example of that."
In the end, Von D wrote that she is not overly concerned whether or not people tune in to watch her show.
"Whether people tune in or not doesn't change my best efforts or the quality of what I do, because when you make something for the sake of putting good out into the universe, the payback comes from a much more fulfilling place than any man made form of payment," she said.
Von D and James announced their engagement in January, after five months of dating that began following James's separation from ex-wife Sandra Bullock.
LA Ink premieres tonight at 10pm on TLC.
