Peter Andre 'begs Stacey Solomon for date'

Peter Andre has reportedly been begging Stacey Solomon to be his girlfriend.

The singer recently admitted that he would like to date the former X Factor star but insisted that nothing would happen since she is dating Aaron Barham.

However, The People reports that Andre has been "bombarding" the I'm A Celebrity... winner with phone calls and text messages and even invited her to his daughter Princess's birthday party in a bid to woo her. She is said to have declined the invite.

"Pete keeps asking her out. It's becoming a bit embarrassing," a source said. "He rings, texts her and has even said it in a magazine column he writes.

"She would not be interested anyway because she has a boyfriend. There is no way she would dump Aaron for Pete and that is what she told him.

"Stacey and Pete know one another almost as friends so he knows she is in a relationship. She is pretty shocked really. She thought they were just friends."

Andre, who was married to Katie Price, split from girlfriend Elen Rivas in April.
