Amy Smart says fiancé is planning her wedding

Shameless star Amy Smart has said that she is completely relaxed about her impending nuptials because her fiancé is handling most of the planning.

The actress announced her engagement to Trading Spaces star Carter Oosterhouse in April, despite the couple only being together since November last year.

Smart said that she has been pleasantly surprised with how stress-free organising the wedding has been so far.

"[Carter's] very hands on," Smart told Hollyscoop. "He has definitely been my co-pilot with this.

"He has a good eye for things. The planning is going great. There's way more details than I ever expected."

Despite leaving many of the arrangements for her fiancé to deal with, Smart said the one thing she has handled entirely on her own is the wedding dress.

"It's all picked out, but I'm not telling," she added, when asked which designer she chose. "I can't even tell my fiancé, I can't tell anyone else."

Smart and Oosterhouse plan to wed on September 10.
