Al Pacino's daughter arrested on drink-driving charges

A spokesperson for the NYPD has confirmed that Julie Pacino was taken into custody after driving her Mercedes Benz through a DWI checkpoint.
"She had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and the strong smell of alcohol on her breath," police officer James Duffy said, according to People. "She admitted to drinking three beers and smoking marijuana prior to entering the checkpoint."
Al Pacino, who was filming scenes for an untitled HBO biopic about music producer Phil Spector, immediately flew back from Los Angeles following the incident.
Julie was arraigned early on Saturday evening, following which she was released from police custody.
Pacino is scheduled to begin filming scenes for his role in Barry Levinson's Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father later this year.
