The 24-year-old performer, who shot to stardom aged 13 after starring in the Sydney Olympics opening ceremony, said that Australia's Got Talent favourite Vidgen should learn from her experiences.
Webster told the Herald Sun: "I wish I knew to get out of Australia at 14, but I chose to stay in my home town and got burnt for it. Australia's a tough country... so it's about staying strong and staying grounded.
"Hopefully he can learn from what I went through, because I guess I was one of the first in Australia to go through it, other than Kylie [Minogue]."
When Vidgen first sang on Australia's Got Talent, judge Dannii Minogue described his voice as "mind blowing", while Brian McFadden jumped up on stage and gave him a kiss. During his second performance, Kyle Sandilands joked to him: "You've got a black woman inside you."
Earlier this week, Vidgen received death threats on Facebook after he claimed to write his own material for the show. Police said that they will not take the threats further until Vidgen or his parents lodge a formal complaint.
