Kat Von D 'designed dress for Jesse James wedding'

An executive producer on LA Ink has insisted that Kat Von D was eager to marry Jesse James.

Gil Lopez revealed that Von D had already started planning for her wedding to Sandra Bullock's ex-husband.

"She designed a wedding dress," Lopez told Us Weekly.

However, James and Von D called off their engagement last week due to the "distance between them".

Lopez went on to describe the couple's relationship as a "fairy tale" romance, saying that Von D never wanted to split from James.

"We were really able to document what to all of us involved in the story is a fairy tale love story," he said. "We really got full access from the moment they got engaged [in January 2011] and how Jesse asked her father and how he proposed, to all the way through her looking for wedding dresses, talks to designers about wedding dresses. She was in love, madly in love."

The LA Ink star insisted last week that she never planned to split from ex-fiancé James, admitting that she is struggling to deal with his absence.
