Nick Lachey: 'I'm looking forward to having children'

Nick Lachey has revealed that he and new wife Vanessa Minnillo are already trying to have children.

The Sing-Off host confessed that he is keen to start a family with Minnillo after tying the knot with the actress in a small ceremony last month.

"I'm doing everything I can," Lachey told E! Online. "Trust me, it would make me happy. Family is very important. It's very important to us. and I'm sure that will be around the corner."

Lachey went on to say that he is enjoying married life.

"It's great," he added. "Obviously we're still in the honeymoon period. Not much changed, which, for me, is a good thing. We've been together five years. We were very comfortable in our relationship before the marriage."

Earlier this week, the 37-year-old revealed that he is excited about getting on with his life in the wake of his recent marriage.

The couple wrote their own wedding vows for the ceremony so as to to make the experience more "personal".
