The Up All Night star, who welcomed her first child Sadie Grace in February, told People that she hates being away from the child as Sadie is the most important thing in her life.
"It's been so rough. It's a really hard thing to do because you miss them. But I'm doing well," Applegate said.
"Parenthood just changed me in the sense that nothing really matters but [Sadie]... All that matters is I get to go in there in the morning and see her face. She smiles at me and my life is better."
Applegate previously said that becoming a parent allowed her to understand the bond between mothers and daughters, and that Sadie has taught her the meaning of true love.
She also claimed that the experience of giving birth was the best thing to ever happen to her in her life.
