Blake Fielder-Civil's girlfriend: 'l could never compete with Amy Winehouse'

Sarah Aspin has revealed that she knew that Amy Winehouse and her boyfriend Blake Fielder-Civil would always have a strong bond.

The 33-year-old, who has a son with 
Fielder-Civil, explained that the singer was "always in the background" of their relationship.

Aspin told Now: "Amy was always going to be part of my relationship with Blake. You felt her presence a great deal. It was just like she was always in the background."

Aspin, who met the 29-year-old in rehab in 2009, admitted that she knew that Fielder-Civil was attracted to her because she reminded him of his ex-wife.

She added: "When I first met him 
and I showed him some pictures of 
me when I was younger, he said a few times that I had the look of Amy.

"And that was his way of saying he still loved Amy, because he went for a girl that not only looked like her, but also resembled her in some ways."
