Outkast's Big Boi arrested on drug charges

Big Boi has reportedly been arrested for drug possession.

According to TMZ, the hip-hop star, real name Antwan Patton, was arrested by customs officers in Miami earlier today while leaving a cruise ship.

Patton has been charged with three separate charges of possessing a controlled substance, as well as one charge of possessing drug paraphernalia.

The Miami-Dade County Corrections Department has claimed that Patton was in possession of ecstasy, MDMA and Viagra.

He is best known for being one half of hip-hop duo Outkast, along with rapper André 3000.

Outkast are expected to release their seventh studio album next year, while Patton himself is currently working on his second solo record.

Patton's police bond was set at $16,000, which the rapper is believed to have posted almost immediately.
