Kate Gosselin on dating again: 'There are a lot of obstacles'

Kate Gosselin has said that she is ready to start dating again but knows there are "obstacles" in her way.

The mother-of-eight told Ann Curry on Today that any man she dates will have to accept her large family, fame and "hectic" work schedule.

Gosselin said: "I've said a lot of times that I'm ready to start dating. I think there are a lot of obstacles for me. I hope to sort of bump into somebody but in all honesty, I talk to my best friend about wouldn't it be great if she could go around the country and collect suitable people?

"The odds of me just sort of bumping into someone are rare."

Curry then questioned why Gosselin felt that way, to which the reality star replied: "I have eight kids and a crazy work schedule and I'm known. There are a lot of obstacles."

Gosselin, who finalised her divorce from ex-husband Jon in December 2009, admitted that she finds the obstacles in her way to be "daunting" but hopes the right partner is out there because her kids want her to find happiness.

"I don't know where life will take me. I am hoping that the person is out there because the kids on a daily basis are begging for me to get married again. They bring it up all the time and I'm like, 'I'm not dating anyone'."

Gosselin and ex-husband Jon are parents to twin daughters Mady and Cara and sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Hannah, Leah and Alexis.
