Former Dancing with the Stars contestant Alley is negotiating with publisher Simon & Schuster's Atria imprint to reveal her strategies on how to look and feel young at 60, sources told Page Six.
Atria is apparently hoping for a July 2012 release if a deal is reached.
A spokesperson for Alley confirmed that talks between the actress and Atria are ongoing, but that she has "not signed any papers yet".
Alley's last book, a comedic guide to weight loss and love called How To Lose Your Ass and Regain Your Life: Reluctant Confessions of a Big-Butted Star, was released in 2005.
Last week, Alley signed on to star in ABC's new family comedy The Manzanis.
