George Lopez: 'Sandra Bullock is my fairy godmother'

George Lopez has credited Sandra Bullock with his success.

The Lopez Tonight host confessed that the Blind Side star helped him to launch his career in television, saying that he never would have made it as far as he has without her support.

"If it wasn't for her involvement in me, or her belief in me, I would have had a very different last ten years," Lopez told People.

He continued: "She invested in me, and she wouldn't take no for an answer. And with that, and just who she is, she has my undying love, and my undying loyalty. Every day I thank her for believing in me."

Lopez went on to say that Bullock's adopted son Louis is lucky to have such a caring soul for a mother.

"I can only say that I did not have a mother, and I would have very much liked that one to be mine!" he added. "She's already my fairy godmother, but any child that gets to be in Sandra Bullock's arms is going to be a great person."

Lopez's late-night talkshow Lopez Tonight was cancelled by TBS yesterday after two years on the air. The series will broadcast its final episode tonight.
