Jennifer Hawkins has declared that she doesn't worry about people who criticise her.

The Australian supermodel, who is the face of department store Myer, said that she does not fear being verbally attacked - in the way that radio star Kyle Sandilands recently slammed her rival Megan Gale - because she is "nice to people".

Gale was labelled "fake" by Sandilands as he declared on air: "I don't like her - I don't and never have. I just don't care for her, I just don't find her warm. I don't find her to be an intelligent, together or strong woman."

Hawkins has now told the Herald Sun: "I just think if you're nice to people and you treat people with respect and then they come out and say something then it's probably not true, so you don't worry about the things that are out of your control.

"The only thing you can control is who you are, what you believe in and how you treat people. I get on pretty well with people in the industry, just because I treat them the way they treat me, so no I'm not worried."

Hawkins is currently engaged to builder Jake Wall and recently said that their joint "passion" is renovating and re-selling houses.
