Scott Cam has revealed that he has lost 10kg.

The 49-year-old television presenter, who recently returned to Aussie screens for the latest season of renovation show The Block, said that it was a "good feeling" when he started eating healthily and cycling to work.

Cam told Woman's Day magazine: "I think my wife Ann looks after me too well when I'm home. I was away from her for a couple of months while I was in Melbourne, so I had to fend for myself. I didn't have all those little nice things in the cupboard like cakes and biscuits.

"Instead, I was eating lots of fresh food and smaller portions. I'd just buy exactly what I needed to eat and nothing more."

Cam revealed that the best way to get around Melbourne suburb Richmond while filming The Block was on his bicycle, saying: "I rode it every day to work and back, so I didn't really have to try that hard to get fit.

"[Losing weight was] a good feeling. I'd been about 10kg overweight for some time, so I'm really happy to have it off and I'm working hard now at keeping it off. It all does come down to what you put in your mouth. We do forget that our metabolism is slowing down as we get older."

Cam also spoke of being happily married to his wife for 20 years, adding: "She's the love of my life and we have three beautiful kids together. They're all very excited for me."

Australian cricketer Shane Warne recently lost 12kg as part of a "fitness campaign", while footballer Brendan Fevola has shed 16kg with the help of weight-loss shake TaiSlim.
