Kate Moss to escape drugs charges?
Published Saturday, May 27 2006, 10:48 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly
Kate Moss may not face drugs charges because police have failed to find anyone who will give evidence against her.
A Scotland Yard spokesman has confirmed that the model's file has now been handed over to the Crown Prosecution Service, who will decide within 10 days whether she should be charged.
"It's been important to send a message to celebrities that they are not beyond the law," one source told the Daily Star. "There will be criticism that Kate's been singled out. But if there is no prosecution, others will condemn it as a waste of time and money. In a way it's a lose-lose situation."
