Camille Grammer: 'I'm sorry for Kelsey penis jibe'

Camille Grammer has apologised to her ex-husband Kelsey for suggesting that he has a small penis.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star commented during the couple's bitter separation that the Frasier actor had "big hands, big feet [but was a] big disappointment".

However, Camille has now attempted to make up for the "great embarrassment" caused to Kelsey by addressing her controversial quip in a statement to TMZ.

"Some joking remarks I made... got picked up and caused my ex-husband great embarrassment and, for that, I sincerely apologise," she said.

"While the media added words and blew it out of proportion, I acknowledge my part in this and regret my remarks."

Kelsey's new wife Kayte Walsh, whom he married days after his divorce was finalised in February, responded to Camille's comment by suggesting: "Perhaps the fault lies not so much with the member in question but rather with the inspiration at hand."

The Grammers were reported to have reached a temporary custody agreement over their two sons last month.

The couple were married for 13 years before their split.
