At least five people were killed and over 40 were injured when strong winds tore down a structure at the Indianapolis event, minutes before country music duo Sugarland were set to perform.
The band told the BBC afterwards that they were "stunned and heartbroken" by the tragedy, and now a host of other celebrities have paid tribute to those affected.
"Just saw video footage of the stage collapsing at Sugarland's show in Indiana," Clarkson wrote on Twitter. "Oh my gosh that is maybe one of scariest things I've ever seen. I pray everybody on their crew and the band is okay.
"I heard the people that died or got injured were fans. Please keep all of their families in your prayers. What a horrible thing to happen."
American Idol host Seacrest was also shaken by the Indiana disaster, writing on the social networking site: "Just saw the vid of the stage collapse in indiana, unbelievable. Sending prayers to injured fans and @sugarlandmusic & crew. So sad...scary."
Meanwhile, country star LeAnn Rimes added: "My heart goes out to everyone who experienced the horrific event at the Indiana St. Fair last night. Prayers for the families that lost loved ones."
