Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony split 'caused by Scientology rift'

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony's recent marriage break-up has been blamed on the American Idol judge's Scientology beliefs, according to reports.

The pair are said to have rowed over Lopez's plans to send their 3-year-old twins Max and Emme to a Scientology school, which Anthony objected to.

Lopez had previously hinted at sending her children to the Church of Scientology school back in 2008. She had said: "I wouldn't mind. Not at all. Because I know that the technologies that they have are very helpful. It's all about communication.

"I just wish that people wouldn't judge it without knowing what it is."

A source close to the couple told the Daily Mail: "Jennifer and Marc couldn't see eye-to-eye on the subject. She's always been more into the church than him. He wasn't a huge fan and it caused problems."

Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez were spotted together in New York last week, sparking a rumour that they had reconciled.
