The Australian supermodel, who has recently been praised for her slim post-pregnancy body after having son Flynn earlier this year, said that she would not have minded if her figure did not return after having a child.
Kerr told the Sunday Herald Sun: "It's funny, but I really didn't mind if my body didn't go back to what it was before. I had decided during the pregnancy that between my skincare range, Kora Organics and my book Treasure Yourself, that there were plenty of other things I could do in my life. My priority after giving birth was just to be healthy and for Flynn to be healthy."
The 28-year-old, who is married to Pirates of the Caribbean actor Orlando Bloom, said that she has always lived an organic life: "I started looking after myself from a very young age. Mum said when I was little I would scream for my veggies."
She also stressed that women should not worry too much about losing weight after having a baby, saying: "You can't put pressure on your body to be anything other than what your body is. No-one should compare themselves and no-one should feel bad about how their body might be different from someone else's after pregnancy."
After her recent return to the catwalk, Kerr said that motherhood is the "best thing [she has] ever done".
