The actor was forced to cut short his baseball exhibition at Phoenix's Chase Field on Sunday, when he ruptured the ulnar nerve in one of his elbows while swinging a bat.
Sheen later revealed that the injury has rendered him unable to grip a bat, but insisted to TMZ that he will return to the sport because he feels "at home" and "at peace" on the baseball diamond.
The 45-year-old actor portrayed fictional Cleveland Indians pitcher Rick 'Wild Thing' Vaughn in the first two Major League movies.
Sheen revealed earlier this year that he would love to return for a new Major League movie if he found a suitable script.
Former Two and a Half Men star Sheen received a mixture of cheers and boos during his appearance at the 'Gathering of the Juggalos' on Saturday.
