Springsteen speaks out against Bush
Published Monday, May 29 2006, 10:02 BST | By Matthew Houghton
Rock legend Bruce Springsteen has spoken out openly against the Bush administration during a gig in the US.
The star criticised the manner in which last year's devastating Hurricane Katrina was handled.
Between songs he delivered politically-driven criticism of Bush, referring to him as "President By-stander".
In keeping with the political theme, Springsteen played both 'We Shall Overcome', an anthem of the US Civil Rights Movement and 'Bring Them Home', an anti-war song from the time of the Vietnam War.
