The Ferris Bueller's Day Off actor and wife Sarah Jessica Parker welcomed fraternal sisters Tabitha and Marion in summer 2009 via surrogate.
Broderick told People: "They are into talking, saying every new word. They repeat everything a lot of times. Their 'R's and 'L's are not so good, but that will come."
He also expressed disappointment in not being able to lift the girls as he recovers from a recent back surgery.
"I'm not allowed to pick them up for a while and it's hard to explain. But they're pretty good about it. They got it very quickly. I keep telling them, 'I'll be back'," Broderick said.
He and Parker are also parents to 8-year-old son James Wilkie, though Parker recently admitted that she is open to the idea of having more children in the future.
Broderick was recently confirmed to be heading back to Broadway in 2012 in Nice Work If You Can Get It.
