Elizabeth Banks: 'I get mistaken for Chelsea Handler'

Elizabeth Banks has said that she is often mistaken for Chelsea Handler.

Appearing on Handler's E! chatshow Chelsea Lately, the Hunger Games actress recalled being approached by a fan of Handler's, failing to inform him that she was someone else.

"I was sitting in Toronto and a guy walked up to me and said, 'Oh my god, my girlfriend loves you. She would die if I didn't get your autograph. This is so exciting!'" Banks said.

"He's like, 'I just love your books. I mean, My Horizontal Life...' I was like, 'Oh, he thinks he's meeting Chelsea Handler.' I couldn't ruin it for him!"

Banks went on to say that she didn't mind the experience of pretending to be Handler, joking: "I was like, 'It's nice to meet you.' I was just hanging out, being Chelsea, drinking my vodka and having a good time. He couldn't have been happier."

The My Idiot Brother star recently signed on to appear in What To Expect When You're Expecting alongside Jennifer Lopez, Chris Rock, Isla Fisher and Ed Helms.

Banks has promised that parenthood will not keep her from acting, despite having welcomed son Felix with husband Max Handelman in March.
