Sean Kingston denies Selena Gomez conflict rumours: 'She's a sweetheart'

Sean Kingston has laughed off a recent report alleging that Selena Gomez was unhappy about his friendship with her boyfriend Justin Bieber.

The 'Beautiful Girls' singer told On Air With Ryan Seacrest that there is no truth to the speculation, adding that he recently hung out with Gomez at an awards ceremony.

Kingston said that he is like a "big bro mentor" to Bieber, telling Seacrest that the teenager initially came to him and asked what he thought about his relationship with Gomez.

"That's the media taking things and rolling with it," he said. "I was just with Selena at the Teen Choice Awards. We hung out, we ate after that. It was cool. It's all love."

Seacrest then asked whether Kingston had addressed the rumours with Gomez directly, to which he replied: "No, because she's such a sweetheart I know that's definitely not coming from her."

Kingston and Bieber collaborated on the track 'Eenie Meenie', and Bieber was recently seen visiting Kingston at his home in Miami.

Kingston is currently recovering from a near-fatal jet ski crash in May, which landed him in intensive care and led to open heart surgery for a torn aorta.

The singer made his first red carpet appearance since the accident at the Teen Choice Awards earlier this month, where he was cheered by the crowd before presenting Bieber with the 'Choice Music Artist - Male' award.
