Jesse James, Kat Von D: Engagement is back on

Jesse James and Kat Von D have become engaged again.

The reality TV personalities, who initially announced plans to marry in January 2011, called off their forthcoming nuptials last month.

Von D later said that the couple had faced a lot of public criticism over their relationship, but insisted that she had never intended to walk away from James.

The LA Ink star and James sparked speculation earlier this week that they had resumed their romance after posting photographs of themselves embracing via their respective Twitter accounts, rumours which James has since confirmed.

"Sometimes you are only given one chance in life. It was up to me to open my eyes and see it. That girl is my chance," he told People.

"I will never stop fighting and striving to hold on to her. Showing her how special she is, and how much I love her."

James previously said that he and Von D have "something special" which he has never felt in any of his previous relationships.
