Big Sean has downplayed the seriousness of his arrest for sexual assault earlier this month.

Two weeks ago, the Def Jam star was arrested along with Willie Hansbro following an incident with a female fan after a concert in New York City.

Big Sean has since been charged with forcible touching, second degree unlawful imprisonment and sexual abuse, but has said that he is unable to comment on the situation.

"Man, that was just some little minor s**t," the rapper explained to DJ Tim Westwood , according to MTV News.

"I really wanna talk about it too, and go through the details, but my lawyer says I can't talk about it until it's all said and done."

Sean also spoke about his recent nomination for 'Best New Artist' at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

"I called my mum and was like, 'Mum, I'm nominated for an MTV Award!'," he recalled. "I was screaming and then she started screaming. We were just sharing that moment."

Both Big Sean and Willie Hansbro are due back in court on September 6.
