Derek Hough was 'definitely in love' with Cheryl Cole

Derek Hough was "definitely in love" with Cheryl Cole, according to her ex-minder.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Craig Balkam - allegedly Cole's witness when she signed the divorce papers from Ashley - claims that she did not recriprocate Hough's affection.

"He was much keener on her than she was on him. He was definitely in love with her - you could tell from the way he looked at her," he said.

"But she was almost never openly affectionate with him in public. He was asked to walk behind her in public so they wouldn't appear in the same photos."

Referring to when the pair allegedly went horse riding in Santa Barbara, Balkam recalled: "After they got off the horse, Derek put his arm around Cheryl. She did not push him off, but did not reciprocate either.

"And she said every time she flirted with another man, she felt like she was cheating on Ashley - even though they'd split up because he'd cheated on her so badly."
