Daniel Craig 'doesn't mind heartthrob status'

Daniel Craig has said that he doesn't have a problem with being admired for his muscular physique.

The Casino Royale star often has several shirtless scenes in his films, but claimed that he has never seen it as an issue.

"I wasn't operating the camera, you'd have to ask the cameraman about that!" Craig told PA recently. "I genuinely don't think about it. It is what it is."

Craig is currently appearing opposite Harrison Ford in Jon Favreau's comic book adaptation Cowboys & Aliens, and said that he worked hard to get the perfect physique for his role.

"I try to get in shape for movies because I like it, and because I thought we should have a skinny cowboy who looked in shape because he should look like a killer," he explained.

Despite his status as a heartthrob, Craig recently claimed that he would never want to star in a romantic comedy.
