Kim Kardashian has wedding cake taller than herself

Kim Kardashian ordered a wedding cake taller than herself, it has been reported.

The reality star, who married NBA player Kris Humphries in a fairytale ceremony yesterday, was dwarfed by her own six-foot tall wedding cake, which measured a full ten inches taller than Kim herself.

The black and white confectionery creation, which was reportedly chosen to resemble Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding cake, is said to have cost around $15,000 to $20,000 (£9,100 to £12,134).

"They passed out cake [to guests] but it wasn't from the six-foot tall cake," a source told Us Weekly.

In addition, a second witness told the website that Kim must have instructed Humphries against following the tradition in which newlyweds smash cake into each other's faces.

"I think Kim and Kris must have had a talk about the cake cutting and smudging the cake in her face," said the other insider. "Because Kris didn't do it! I know that he is such a jokester and he would've loved to do that."

The couple, who have said that they have yet to plan a honeymoon, will return to work on Monday.
