Amy Winehouse's father had said that his solicitors are working on the issue after Martin McCann, from Uxbridge, "stole" the name for his planned charity in memory of his daughter.
McCann, who also registered the domain name amywinehousefoundation.com shortly after Mitch first announced his plans, told The Sun: "I'm not exploiting anything yet. I've just bought some domain names.
"Anybody could have. It only takes the click of a mouse. I'm not ashamed or embarrassed. Detach yourself from emotions and think business."
He added of Mitch: "He is making every effort to hijack this charity to satiate his own needs for the charity. She's not the only Amy Winehouse in the world.
"I'm not the d**khead. The d**khead is sitting over there without the name in his possession."
Mitch claimed that he is returning donations to those who made out cheques in the foundation's name while the matter is being resolved.
McCann said that he wants to "come to an arrangement" with Mitch regarding the company name and website, but only if he receives an apology for being insulted on Twitter.
